Lesson Plan of Unit 9
What would you do ?
(第3课时)


一、教材内容分析
学会用虚拟语气来讨论假设的情景,以及如何面对这些状况,采取相应的应变措施,Section A (3a—4)就上一课时中的Embarrassingsituations这一话题展开训练,训练形式为阅读配对(3a)和角色表演(3b),并以小组活动形式展开讨论。
、教学目标
1. 知识目标:1.Key words: pimple trouble
2. Target language:
1).I’m too tired to do well .What should I do?
2).If I were you, I’d take a long walk before going to bed.
2. 能力目标:培养学生用If引导的非真实条件状语从句句型进行谈论、提问等的语言表达能力。通过学习,使学生具备用if引导的非真实条件状语从句句型.提问、谈论的能力,借此来做调查,了解班级同学的想法,制作表格。
3.情感目标:学会照顾别人,学会感恩他人。

三、教学过程
Step 1: Preparation 5 minutes
1.Collect homework. Choose some of the homework and read it to the class tocollect different answers.
2.Review the last part by making sentences in groups.

Step2: Presentation ( 15minutes)
进入本课话题(Lead-in)教师可以利用一些实物或图片,比如一双破旧不堪的袜子,堆积如山的文件,或者是一些生活中让人备受困扰的问题的图片。

(展示一张破旧摩托车的图片)
T:This is my motorbike. It is very old and often broken. What should
Ido?   S: If I were you, I’d buy a new one.
T: Thank you for your advice. I will thinkabout buying a new one. And do you have any problems? (展示另一张图片,一个长着青春痘的女孩。)This is Tracy.She is unhappy.Do you know why?Yes. She has got pimples. Do you have such a problem?(用图片引出生词pimple)
2.老师指导学生阅读理解每小段内容,选出适当的建议。当学生进行阅读时,教师列出以下表达:
beshy, enjoy the parties, get nervous, get pimples, take a big exam, too... to,help with the problem, take a long walk, help you relax
Idon’t know what to say or do. I’m too tired to do well. If I were you, I’d talkto someone who looks friendly.
设计说明:这些词组句型都是以前学过的但是经常使用,列出来给他们加深印象,以便他们能更灵活运用到各种场合。让学生有足够的时间消化3a部分内容,如果有不同意见可以进行讨论。
Step 3 : Practice (7 minutes)
This part provides oral practice using the target language.
1) Read the instruction to the class. Invite a pair of students to read the sample conversation.
2) Ask students to think of different advice for the problems in 3a.
3) Ask them to make conversations with partners using new suggestions to each problem. Help them if necessary.
4).Let them act their own conversations out in pairs and give them help if necessary.
设计说明:通过小组活动,多人或两人对话练习了口语,熟练掌握本课重点句型,并能用自己的语言造句】
Step4 Production(8minutes)
(1)针对3a的某个问题,让学生谈谈自己不同的见解和方法。
(2)Group work用准备好的一些问题分发给每个小组,让他们集体讨论解决方法。如:
A.What would you do if you found your shirt was broken in the classroom?
B.I found a wallet this morning. And I found there were 10, 000 yuan in it. Whatshould I do?
C.I fell into the cage of the tiger in the zoo. What should I do?
先由学生小组讨论,得出结论,由一个同学起来向全班同学阐述他们对这个问题的看法和解决方法。
设计说明:通过这些讨论,让学生能针对不同的问题表达自己的不同的见解,使他们能流利运用英语进行交流,引导学生多一些关心他人,帮助有困难的人的意识。】
Step5 Progress(5minutes)
T:Now make a list of your problems at home and at school according to 4. Then askyour classmates for advice and practice it in groups.
全班活动。利用课文4的表格,老师询问一学生的情况,接着让全体同学互相询问同学在家、在校时的一些烦恼,然后给出建议,也可以问别的同学有没有更好的建议。
   设计说明:同学们对自己感兴趣的人提问题,并且尽量给出好的建议,通过记录别人的问题和解决方法,在听、说和写方面都得到训练。】

教学反思:本课时内容少,时间充足,学生对话,小组活动较多,着重学生听说能力的提高,采用学生生活中常见的话题,学生学习兴趣浓厚,通过小组讨论,现场调查等实践活动,学生能熟练掌握本课重点句型】
